I got my first puncter the other day - no problem fixing it....once I walked 2 miles home that is.

So, i think i should buy some spair innertubes - the only problem is I know nothing about innertubes, I dont know what size/style to buy, I dont know If I have to buy them per radius of the wheel... i really am pretty clueless..

My bike is a Genesis Aether its wheels are Alex R450 32 hole with Continental Ultra Race 25c tyres.

Could someone please help me out, and maybe eduacate me a little too!?

25 is going to be the width of the tyre, the diameter is going to most likely be 700. It should be printed on the sidewall.

So an innertube which will fit will be measured in a sinilar way i.e. 700x18-25 (fits all widths 18mm to 25mm)

Most inner tubes cover a variety of sizes and inner tube sizing is not an exact science. In the example given above, you might find a tube which covers 700 x 18 - 25c and another which does something like 700 x 25 - 32c, in which case, if you have 25mm tyres, take the slightly smaller one as it will be easier to fit into the tyre.

Also, check whether you need schrader valves (like a car) or presta valves. I'd expect it to be presta in your case but just be sure.
