I'm doing the 90km route and will be trying to keep a 17mph average across the 90km.

I want to start early, hopefully about 0745, I'll be on a white Specialized Secteur Sport and will (weather dependant) have a short sleeve red jersey on. What are you riding? Hopefully I might see you along the way.

Did anyone else do this one?

I entered the long one. Someone had taken a sign down just after Marlow though which meant that everyone flew down to Henley instead of going to Stokenchurch  It added quite a bit extra on to the ride, and it would have been my 1st 100+ so instead I rode back to Marlow and finished the short route- I did about 110k in the end.

Nice day out though, and I'm doing F3's Chiltern Big Dipper this weekend to make up for not doing the 100!!

I did the 90km route on Sunday, it was a fabulous day. &nbsp; The route marking definitely deteriorated the further through the course you went, by the end it was pretty hopeless I thought with just enough marked to get round.<div><br></div><div>I've just been looking at the finishing times for all the riders. 120 people completed the 90km course and you came in 103 place, I worked your average out to be around 14.5mph which would include any time that you stopped on the course. Adding in the extra 20km that you did brings your average up to about 15mph and would have put you in 60th place, so right in the middle of the field which for your first sportive is a great place to be.</div><div><br></div><div>Every sportive that I ride reminds me of how fit other people are and how much room I have got for improvement - they are great motivators for me to get better. &nbsp; The ride on Sunday was one of the flatest sportives you will find anywhere with only 580m climbing for the 90km route, so it was ideal as my first event of the year. You will find that most sportives are around 1500m climbing over 100km - you will see what I mean when you do the Chiltern Dipper!</div>

Thanks for that  Agreed, much of last Sunday was fairly flat. There were a couple of hills I found really tough tho, especially the one before the 1st water stationa t about 40k. My lungs nearly fell out my face. I'm really really scared about the Chiltern Dipper now!!!!!!!!!
