hey guys, I need some help in pricing a few things.
I joined this group last year and love it. Helped me tremendously in my early riding, and for that I'm grateful.
I know find it neccasery to change my kit over to road bike from a tri cross. It's served me well, but I am stuck.i now ride a Canondale road bike.
Now then, basically i know Nowt, nothing, nix, nada, perhaps even less than this. And I have a few things to sell and I don't know how much to ask for them.
Is it against the rules or could you help me?

Mick.

Look at finished eBay listings and see what stuff sells for

Ultimately anything is only worth what someone wanting to buy at that time is prepared to pay

I have sold loads on Ebay, best way to get a good price due to size of the market place.
My advice would be:
take some really good (non-blurred) pics with a decent camera or phone - ie. clean the bike well, bright sunny day, cut the grass etc so the garden background is tidy, take some of the whole bike plus close ups of key components.
Put a low starting price - £50 works for me, gets plenty of watchers.
Start the auction on a Sunday evening at 6:30pm - set for 7 days so it finishes the next Sunday evening.
Answer any questions from buyers promptly, honestly and fully.
Ignore the messages asking for a buy it now price and let the auction run its course.

I have rarely been disappointed by the closing price of my sales. As vickster has mentioned, something is only worth what someones prepared to pay.

Good luck with the sale.
