I've noticed a creeping tendency to put stuff for sale in the Sale section without a price and asking for offers.
If it's an auction you want then I would suggest ebay is a better bet.

It would help if people read the 'for sale' forum rules before placing an advert.

"Try to put a guide price on items you are offering for sale. If you don't have a fixed price in mind, ask for offers around a guideline figure. This is very helpful to prospective buyers and reduces "How much?" type posts and PMs."

I'm going to close this thread as the classifieds isn't really intended as a general discussion forum.

I appreciate what you're saying, but if people don't want to put a figure - even a ball-park one - and they don't bother reading the guidelines, then there's not much we can do.

So long as people understand that if they don't put much detail (including guide prices) then they are less likely to get any interest in what they're offering.

Cheers,
Shaun
