My mate who is normally quicker and stronger than me on a cycle ride, was really struggling today, and we couldn't figure out why. He normally swallows up hills and climbs no problem, but today I left him for dead. I had to slow my pace right down to make sure he was ok.
We did an 18 mile ride, got back and he was dyeing on his arse!!! He had a play with his bike, and this is where the realisation hit...........
He had just cycled 18 miles with his back wheel out of alignment and it was scraping on the inside of the frame causing massive tyre wear and emense drag, the back wheel just wouldn't free wheel!,!,!,
Let that be a lesson to us all. Gave me and the others a good laugh though
