Presta problems ???

Another boring newbie question sorry...

Front tyre inflates easily to 110 but the back tyre will only inflate to 50, before i inflated it i pressed the valve in for a second ..but no matter how many times i try it will not go past 50...any ideas or is it a new tube...

Fix the puncture!

(You might have a weird one that only really opens up at about 50 PSI.)

I had one of those. Would sit all day at about 60 but try to pump it it up a bit and no go.

Just got a new tube AND it still will not inflate above 50, new pump, checked pump etc etc ...do i need a new tyre ???

Do you have a different brand or size tire on the back? also, is the presta valves safety screw unscrewed all the way to allow full air intake?

Thanks for the advice however it was the pump after all....been to local lbs and they replaced pump and inflated tyre with no problems..
