Phenytoin < > Food
If your doctor does prescribe these medications together, you may need a dose adjustment or special test to safely use both medications.

Zonisamide < > Food
GENERALLY AVOID

Food, prescribed medication?
Anyone else had such warnings given?

Surely this is just poorly labelled ("food"). Enteral Feeding is something very specific, it doesn't apply to eating normal food.

There are lots of drugs you can't take with grapefruit (juice)

Are you tube fed? If so your link would apply, otherwise not as @BrynCP says, if concerned talk to your pharmacist

Yes grapefruit juice can enhance many drugs. I take Carbamazepine for seizure control and I am not supposed to consume grapefruit juice as it may increase its effects resulting with blood levels ending up being unpredictable.

Yesterday, my niece was telling me about someone she knows who suffers from fibromyalgia. She was given meds for that, but suffered side-effects from them so was given meds to deal with those. The side-effect meds had side-effects, so then she was given meds for the side-effects of the side-effect meds. You can see where this is going ... She is now taking 30 pills a day and the number keeps going up. I would have thought that at some point, the doctor would think that this is not really a great idea and would start again with a simpler regime!

This kind of thing happened with my mum a couple of times before she died. Change of one drug, a drug to deal with side-effects, change of dose, change of frequency, eat more food, eat less food. I got the distinct impression that the doctor was guessing what to do. He tripled the dose of one drug overnight which led to a blackout, a fall, and several months in hospital. He then simply shrugged his shoulders and halved the original dose!

Enteral feeding is straight into the stomach via a tube, which is what is mentioned. For phenytoin I'd be worried more about gums......

It does say "In addition, using phenytoin together with food may alter the effects of phenytoin." whilst referring to food as a prescribed medication.
