Ok so I plan on doing my first tt on thursday. Should I ride on wednesday ? If so should it be a gentle ride ? I have done 20 miles sunday and doing 25 tonight. My legs seem to go tight if I have a day or two off. With this being my first ever tt I aim to get a 35 min or just under for 10 miles. It might sound silly but I am getting nervous. Excitted. Scared all at the same time this is a real mix of emotions. The time I set this time is only a marker something to improve on but I want to do the best I can.

A gentle spin shouldn't cause any problems and might help keep your legs loose. Doing some stretches or 'foam-rollering' between now and then might help any tightness too. Good luck and enjoy it, just remember not to go off too quick!

I am doing a 10TT tonight. I tend to ride upto the day before to work 12mile round trip and then take the car on the day of the TT.

As to your legs getting tight I take it you are stretching after your rides as the muscles tighten up after use ? (As Chris suggested)

Yep I stretch before and after each ride
My main problem is a weak lactic feeling of no strenth in legs basicly I dont seem to recover very well at the moment.
I am not the fitist guys so know it will take time but I hope with time I will get there

for those who have not read my write up of my first TT I managed a 30.58 with 2 finishing behind me so am now hoping to get under the 30 soon
