Hi {there should be a paragraph break here]

I'm trying to post using Safari on a Mac (well, hackintosh). Things use to work fine but now everything's gone pear-shaped. When I post all the paragraphs are lost. When I edit the post the raw html appears - I can get the line returns to appear by taking out the html but if I leave it in place it then appears in the post and still no line breaks.

{there should be a paragraph break here]Is this a Safari issue or a Mac issue or something else?

Edit: but this worked fine when I made the initial post, but when I edited it the html appeared.

Are you using the RTE (Real-time editor)?

You can check by going to your user settings: Click the username drop-down, select My Settings and then let me know if the RTE option is ticked or not?

If it isn't, tick it - save - and then post on this thread and edit it to see if that's fixed it?

Another option is to delete and recreate your site cookie. Scroll down to the very bottom of the page, and on the bottom left click the link for Delete My Cookies. Log back in (which recreates your cookie) and then let me know if this has helped at all.

Oh, and one other thing - are you trying to post/edit from an iPad? (They are unique in not supporting some of the javascript used in the IPS editor - and you have to turn OFF the RTE setting to get them to work properly!!)

Cheers,
Shaun

Hi Shaun

I had been posting from an iPod which meant I was using the IP Board Mobile without realising it (no wonder so many features had disappeared!) I've swapped over to the Classic option and so here goes...

Edit - that bit seems to work OK.

Edit - editing posts seems to work OK as well. Thanks.

Funny though I don't remember having thse problems posting from the iPod itself
