I sent an item back to the seller last week. The Post Office cashier asked me how much it was worth. I told her I paid £279 for it, so she suggested me paying £13.35 for guaranteed compensation of up to £500 should the parcel go missing in transit, adding that it'd get there before 1pm within 2 days at the latest, with the receiver texting me to let me know the parcel had arrived. I paid it for peace of mind and everything went to plan, with the seller's supposed money back in 8 to 10 days being put back into my bank account only 2 days after letting me know they'd received the parcel. Everything went to plan, so I was happy with the service.
