Post count discrepancy

I've noticed that in the profile, the post count is higher than shown next to your name within a thread. Is that something to do with the migration?

No, it's an oddity of the new software.

There are "posts" and 'active posts' ... and I haven't quite worked out (or bothered to ask yet) which is which and why there are two separate counts.

I ask in the developer's forum and see what the answer is.

Okay - 'active' posts in your profile should represent only posts that are currently visible on the forums; so this excludes any posts that are deleted, soft-deleted, or unapproved/awaiting moderation.

'Posts' in the topic view under your username should represent all the posts you've ever made.

'Posts' should always be higher than 'active'.

In your case (and possibly others?) this is the wrong way around, so I've asked IPS how to resolve it.
