Possibly a daft question about wheelsets

I am thinking of buying a set of Fulcrum 3s or similar for my Bianchi Via Nirone. I want to keep the crappy original wheelset the bike came with for training/winter use, so I plan to buy a 10 speed Campag cassette (probably Veloce) and fit that to the new wheelset, so I can just change wheelsets as and when required.

Is it easy enough to fit a cassette myself, and are there any other obvious sanity loopholes in my reasoning?

Dead easy with the right tools...

Swapping cassettes between wheels is a 2 min job with the right tools. That way the chain and cassette will continue to wear together.

If you introduce a second cassette in to the equation you will wear both the cassette and chain quicker as it will need to bed in each time they are swapped. If you're not planning on doing big miles then you might not notice the faster wear however.

I would suggest that you get hold of the tools to swap the cassette and you will be so amazed at how easy it is that you will end up just swapping it between the two wheels. If I had two rear wheels that is exactly what I would do...

As the others have said it is very easy - I have to admit I'm too lazy to swap the cassette at every change so use 2 cassettes.

One very minor fly in the ointment - you will probably find that the rear mech will be fractionally out due to slight differences in the hub measurements but a slight turn of the adjuster will cure this.
