I am trying to figure out how to position the small and the large ring to seat exactly according to their shape. Is there any mark on them or is it just by the eye measurement? I'm using the Rotor Q Rings 53/39
It is almost Chinese for me, I really can't understand it. What first I need to know before the right stroke position is whether there is a simple mark on both rings so when I connect them together with the crank they sit relatively to each other in the right position. Meaning they are aligned to each other.
Eyeballin refers to looking at something, with your eye balls
When you look at the rings, some of the bolt holes have little indentations (dimples) near them there will be one, two, and three dimples you align the rings using these and position respective to the crank and how aggressive you want them.
I have a bottle of that particular brand of snake oil, hope you get on with them
