Hi to all

On the 3rd September I will be taking part in The Royal British Legions Poppybike ride. This is the annual London to Paris bike ride, and i will be taking part along with so far 170 riders. Starting in Greenwich park London it goes through the countyside to Dover, then once in France, we take a route past some of the world war 1 and 2 sites and have morning memorial services before finally finishing at Le Arc D'Triomphe on sunday 6th sept and then have an escorted ride down the Champs Elysee. My aim is to raise £800, but any donation however small will be gratefully appreciated. To sponsor me and help th current and ex servicemen and women and their families either private message me here or go to www.bmycharity.com/AndysBikeRidetoParis2009.

Thank you

Just completed this with my ever loving wife. An absolutely TOP ride-well organised and friendly. A fast group for the racing snakes, a social group and an intermediate-something for everyone in one ride.

Got to 'bezzering' with the lovely Liam (PR for the Legion) and explained in no uncertain terms he really must push this rides' USP-the finish on the road to the Arc d Triomphe. The only ride for which they close the Etoile is this one and the TdF! Bumpier than it looks on tv.
Philipe the French Guy ahead of me was open mouthed-he'd lived in Paris for years and never seen anything like it.

Thoroughly recommend this ride, if only for the last night feed and drinkies.
