I was planning on doing the Fridays Xmas Tourette today but my wife was unwell so instead a little later I took my new Boardman 29er Pro to Swinley Forest. ( I picked it up on Friday combining the 10% on line offer with British Cycling 10% to get it for £810 instead of £999.)
I started on the Blue trail but missed a sign post and picked up the Red trail at section 9. When I got the the end of the Red I found the beginning so completed the bits I'd missed then found the bit of the Blue I'd lost and went back to The Lookout.
A quick cup of tea and a cake at the cafe then another spin around the Blue, though I did have to have a break part way around as I got terrible cramp in my thighs!
It was great fun, I'll definitely go back and I'll be looking for other routes / tracks.
