Hello.
Following an 'incident' a couple of weeks ago I have a damaged Pinarello Catena front wheel, which needs to be replaced. The Pinarello importers are having trouble getting me one (or even a full wheelset, which I find odd), so I need to consider other options.
Now, call me vain, but I like my bikes to look the way they're supposed to, so not any old wheel will do - I have a few 'any old wheels' in the garage and definitely none of them will do! The Catena has polished alloy rims (uncluttered by logos) on polished alloy, high flange, hubs, with 32 nice shiny spokes. It's a retro look, for a retro bike. The rear is a flip flop hub. I know the stock wheels are not great, and I'm prepared to pay for a better wheelset, so long as they look right. Vain, you see.
Any suggestions or ideas before I get myself along to Tokyo Fixed, Brick lane bikes and the like to see what they can build me?
Cheers
