Having some trouble with Polar Heart rate monitors--mostly just battery replacement. One, for instance, is nearly hermetically sealed because they want you to send it back to the factory. Others I have in the pile of non-functioning equipment it appears to be simple enough to replace batteries but they don't seem to function (and I have tested the batteries to make sure that is not the problem) when I close them up. I have always used a HRM because I used to train/ride with some very strong riders. Now I have to watch the #'s because I have been diagnosed with atrial fib. thanks for any advice.
