PMs not appearing

Not sure what is happening here.
Sometimes I get an alert that I have a new PM in a conversation but when I access teh conversation it isn't there. It shows as last post in the inbox but not when I open the conversation.

I have to post a reply before the previous PM shows up.

Is it a software glitch or maybe to do with a conversation that is 36 pages long?

Ummmm, I might just hold off giving out my password for the moment and try starting a new conversation.
