Pledge to be good

I am going to get my bike this afternoon from the shop where it has been having its "free 3 month checkup" and I really can not afford to spend any money in the shop .

I therefore want to pledge on here that I promise I will walk into the shop and turn immediate left into the workshop to get my bike without going near any of the nice shiny bits in the shop. I do not NEED anything else for it and anything I think I want is going on my xmas list as I can wait till then for it.

I am hoping that having written that on here I will not end up coming back on this evening and posting I bought this and that......

I was doing so well, walked it and turned towards the workshop.. to see a Q of people waiting and it looked like they were going to be a while... so I decided to go for a mouch round the shop...

10 minutes later I was the proud owner of a headband and a new jacket. I suppose I can justify the headband as my ears are getting cold when I cycle but the jacket really could have waited till the xmas list. I decided to try it on to check what size I needed for the list and somehow the jacket never got put back on the shelf.. (and is still hidden from Mr Marooncat, will he notice that I am now cycling in a red jacket not a yellow one tomorrow evening - maybe not cause of the dark nights)

Getting on fine with the clips but not ready to make the move to clipless just yet... met a patch of ice this morning and was very pleased to be able to take my feet out the clips in a hurry just in case (and i know you can unclip as quick etc etc etc but I am just not ready)
