Hello all, hope everyone is well and has recovered from their Xmas dinners!

I managed to amass £280 of Evans vouchers for XMas and am looking to commute to work, have been looking on their site for accessories that I will need but any help would be gratefully received!

Have pretty much decided on a Specialized Sirrus 2009 Hybrid Bike but the accessories i need will fall roughly into the following...

- Helmet

- Top & Bottoms

- Cycling Shorts

- Lights

- Overshoes

- Cycle Computer

- Bike Lock

And anything else you can suggest

In approximate order of priority I would suggest

• Cycling shoes
• Waterproof jacket
• Toolkit
• Panniers
• Small saddlebag to carry tools (if you don't get panniers)

Helmet - go for the best fit.

Bottoms - Ron Hill Bikesters.

Shorts - a personal choice the Wiggle own brand ones have a good rep. Not tried them myself.

Tops - anything!

Lights. Spend as much as you can afford. Get decent ones. See here.

Overshoes - go for warm and waterproof - much of a muchness really.

Cyclecomputer - Cateye are dead reliable, I have found. AVoid VDO.

DOn't use bike locks much - If you can, take one to work and leave it there.
