Afternoon all...
I'm looking at possibly swapping my commuter for a cross bike, so I wonder if anyone has ridden the Pinnacle One from Evans?
At the moment I ride a flat bar hybrid with a triple chainset for going to work and pottering. I have a road bike for leisure and sportives and what have you.
I fancy the idea of a drop bar commuter, and the cross bikes seem to fit the bill. My road bike is a compact, but I'd like to retain the flexibility of a triple on any commuter, even though I can't remember the last time I used the granny ring. My reason for wanting to retain the triple is for potentially using the bike for a bit of light touring in some very lumpy places...A must for me also is the tiagra style shifting, rather than sora shifters, just personal preference.
Anyhoo, this bike is discounted at Evans down to £625 at the moment. (It was £899 or so before)
So, what do people think? (I was also looking at the Kona Jake for similar money.)
My second question. Has anyone ever dealt with the company in the title? They're based in Indonesia, and have the Pinnacle One for $420 plus shipping...
Thanks very much in advance!
