Keith, I've a notion you might be able to help.

A mate of mine is off to Shanghai next week and was asking about any bike shops... he'll be in the Pudong district.

I can ask my colleague at work who's just moved from Shanghai if you like, he's a bikist too....

He says follow Jianguoxi road to Xuhui park, following one way traffic. There is a good bike shop on the corner of Hengshan road....

Zimzum is right there is a good one on Hengshan Road but the best one I've used is the one situated at the Shanghai Stadium. If he goes to the stadium area and walks around the outside of the main stadium building there is one close to the long distance bus station which is also in the stadium complex grounds. Pudong is the other side of the river from the stadium but it's easy to get to using the subway system!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
