I mean I'm sure you'll agree, John Sergeant just should not have retired, don't you think? I mean it's not about the dancing it's about entertainment and scanty dresses. As an aficionado of the show I know you'll be appalled just like me. He could'a been a contender....

Oh dear... Nurse! He's chewed through the straps again!

It has been 'suggested' to Mr Serjeant that he should retire whilst he is on top.

Whilst not a bad idea, as the BBC can no longer over rule the votes one way they are now resorting to another

Therfore whilst I have never watched the program, nor care about it, I think he should stay just to prove a point that the public pay the licence fee so the public are what matters not the judges or the execs at the BBC

The issue of 'people power' disagreeing with the expert panel isn't new, but this may bring it to a head. I read somewhere that they may be considering introducing a new rule whereby if the judges put you bottom of the table three weeks in a row, you're out.

As fans of the show, Mrs B and I were saddened by the news John was pulling out. It won't be as much fun without him and the show is about entertainment as well as dancing. I think it's a shame for his professional partner Kristina - she has done such a terrific job with John and seems to be a very caring person - but equally John had received some horrible comments from the judges, and in his place I'd be fed up by now. Judges should always give the sort of feedback that tells contestants how they can improve.

I believe that Mr Sergeant has actually got a prior booking as a guest speaker on a cruise ship. Since he expected to be kicked out of the programme in double quick time, he had no worries in accepting the booking; however, with his unexpected waltz to the later rounds of the competition he has had to retire to enable hm to keep to his floating date.

We are clearly not going to get the benefit of Chuffy's focused consideration.
Damn right. I'm busy dropping bleach into my eyes and drilling out my eardrums.
