hello all
I have just purchased my first android phone, (zte blade 111) mainly because there seem to be a lot of apps relating to cycling ,route planning etc.

I have a garmin edge 200 , but would like to compare how the phones gps apps compare larger screen on phone.

I would like some recommendations for some kind of (phone holder for cycles) preferable something that can fit to the stem, the handelbars on my sirrus elite are tapered, and with light bracket is some what cluttered.

thank you

This is probably f no interest, but I don't trust my phone to a handlebar mount, but on the days I'm on call I need to have it 'out' so I can hear it ring (missed a couple of calls when it's been tucked inside my handbag, inside my panniers) so I've bough a neck purse, with the plan of putting it in the purse and then tucking purse down my top.
One of my colleagues suggested just putting it down my bra, but I thought it could distract other road users if I were to need to get it out!

Why not buy a cheap bluetooth earpeice and pair it to the phone. That way it can stay in your bag, you can answer the phone, and even continue to ride if safe to do so?

i used to use strava on the iphone, and use the sat nav on voice only if i got lost.

i have a garmin 200 and it's much better having something like a normal bike computer that you can save all your ride data and upload to the internet, rather than having to ruin the bikes lines with an iphone on the bars (with the attendant risks that incurs) or, alternatively, remembering to fish the iphone out of the pocket at the end/start of each ride.

Don't get >> this one <<. It's rubbish.
I've found the most convenient thing is to use a tribag (sits on the top-tube, just behind the steerer/stem). Which holds my front light battery, as well as the phone.
