Hello. I have started renovating a Phillips of Birmingham bicycle. The only serial number I can find is the number 22 in raised font under the bottom bracket. Can anyone suggest the age of the cycle or is this insufficient information?
Thank you.
Regards Paul.

The numbers 51 and 52 appear each side of the Dyno4 logo.

A bit of googling reveals the Sturmey Archer "FG Dyno Four" to be a combined 4 speed hub gear and dynamo from the 50s

The Sturmey Archer FG Dyno-Four (“F” for Four speeds and “G” for Generator) was Sturmey Archer’s model that incorporated the same four gear ratios of the FW with their patented frictionless “dyno-hub”. The dyno-hub, a generator used in both front and rear hubs produces 6 volt alternating current (AC), technically making it an alternator rather than a dynamo. First introduced in 1947, the Dyno-Four had a fairly modest production run of thirteen years
