Motorcycle legend Phil Read dead aged 83.

I met him several times. Can't say as I took to him. Huge ego and ruthless with it. Not a likeable chap, and many others would agree, but can't take away his achievements.

I raced against him at the Classic Manx Grand Prix in 1998.
