Phew! Back in the saddle (finally)

Having had kids and snow for the first half of January, followed by the flu for ten days and then two weeks of just feeling absolutely knackered as I got over it, I finally made it out on the bike for the first time this year.

And it was great ! Distance-wise (14 km) I won't score any points although there was a fair bit of climbing which felt rather nice ... but it was warm, dry and sunny (in Wales !)

It's good to be back in the saddle ...

Thanks Joe, I was umming and ahhing about going about but I'm glad I did. Fingers crossed for a dry day on Sunday - I've just signed up to Strava so that I can track my cycling progress this year. All I've got to do is to decide on a realistic goal to aim for . . . .

You beat me to it!!! Had a very similar post (no flu...just awful weather and 2 inspections at school!). Went out today for the first time and felt sooooo good! Didn't realise how nice it feels for legs to be slightly achy!!! Well done anyway and here's to some better weather!

Hey, sorry about that ! Glad you had a good ride too. Weather forecast is looking good for the weekend so hopefully I'll get out on Sunday for a bit. Got to chip away at this years goal ...
