Peugot restoration

Hi all, new here having migrated, but looking to restore this that I picked up, saving it from the tip. I've now striped it down but the stem is stubbornly stuck at the minute.
I'll add some more pics later as this is the only one I currently have.

Bilt hammer penetrating oil is quite helpful.

Remove carefully. Use lots of penetrating oil and tapping with a hammer over time can lead to positive results.

Under no circumstances try twisting the stem out using the forks as leverage, you'll end up with twisted forks - looks like it could be a nice restoration project, no point ruining it out of the gate.

C.1988-1990. Likely be a nice riding machine when it's done. These Carbolite Peugeots always seemed nicer to ride than their 18-23 Raleigh counterparts.
