Peterborough Velodrome Project

Seems I have inadvertently got myself involved in this (read I've started the bloody thing). We are starting a project to build a Cycle Centre in Peterborough. Aiming High to start with by Building a 250m outdoor track, Cycle circuit and cycle Speedway track. Would also like a skate/bmx park there too.
Anyone have any experience of start up projects like this who could offer help / advice or anyone local who has a spare £1m to give us, please get in touch!

Sorry but I wish I could help you on both the items you mention ! but I would start with the National Lottery,I have been told they are very easy to approach ? (only saying what I have been told so please don't through stones) Not sure just how you go about this but if I can find the lady from our local heritage group I will ask and let you know. Best of luck with this and don't give up on it it's a very worthy cause !

Have you had any contact with Herne Hill Velodrome? I only ask because a couple of years ago they came very close to folding but got their act together and have successfully regenerated it. It's more track and cyclocross, I think, but there's somebody there who knows what they're doing.
