Permalinks for searching

This entirely frivolous post:

and the followup to it suggested that searches cannot be shared in the forum via a URL. Have I missed something? Is there a way to create a link to a search that can then be posted to a message?

The current search system caches the results and saves them with a cache ID for reference; however the cache is refreshed on an hourly basis so a link to the the results quickly becomes invalid.

If you want to link to a keyword search, use the following format:

http://www.cyclechat.co.uk/forums/search.php?do=process&query=searchword

If you want to search for more than one word, join them together with a '+' symbol, e.g.:

http://www.cyclechat.co.uk/forums/search.php?do=process&query=word1+word2
