Pensioners outings 😁

This is a regular sight at this time of the year in Denmark. Pensioners all over the country get together a couple of times a week in small groups and go for rides up to 50km. They use both electric and non electric bikes. There is always a cake stop in the ride and then they finish at a members house and take it in turns to make lunch. We have a really good mountain bike course in the town and they turn up ln their electric Mtbs all through winter. They are usually aged between 60 and 80. 🇩🇰

CyclingUK have similar groups all over the UK... the NE Group has a few regulars on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Scattered round the UK, are clubs/groups, calling themselves "Autumn Tints". I think this conjures up a really nice image.

I am curious to know why this tme of year, most retired people in the UK ride all year round, probably a bit less in the winter
