After a 60 metre fall he is lucky to be alive but having said that he's still in a serious mess. Hope he can recover!

Sounds like he will Keith. 'Serious but not life threatening' is what I've read. Let's hope so.

I didn't watch live yesterday but have seen pictures of where he fell. Let's just say I wouldn't want to have done it! Looked nasty.

One of the pictures shows the rescue worker being lowered in which gives you a perspective of how far from the road he fell. I guess he hit the barrier did he and went over, couldn't find anything which said how it happened.

Just watching live streaming of Stage 9 - they are showing the crash site / rescue workers - a long way down....
