Pedal threads for Mobic Crankset

They look as though a 9/16 inch pedals would do, only they dont want to go in.

The hole measures roughly 9/16 and no way would a half inch pedal go and old Atom pedals are well loose on the threads.

So can anyone suggest what pedals I might need for this crankset, or else I might turn barbarian and force some 9/16 pedals onto the crankset?

Sheldon says 'old french cranks' are 14mm x 1.25mm. 9/16 x 20 tpi is 14.28mm x 1.27mm. Sounds like that's what you gave.

I've never really looked into this before and thought the Atom pedals might have had some sort of metric thread, they are much smaller than 9/16 inch cranks. I had hoped Mobic was something to do with Mobic auto parts inc from Japan, seems I was mistaken.
