Anyone done this? What is the route, I am trying to get the OH to do it with me, but at the moment she hasn't got the confidance to go on the road so she is worried that this will have road sections. And yes I am working on her going on the road. Milport is the start of my master plan ;)

I've done it, and I have the (3)certificates to prove it:biggrin:
Yes, there are road sections, but these roads are not carrying a lot of motor traffic, and there are so many cyclists that you get carried along with the crowd. It is a fun event, no need to rush, feed stops, good company, get her to sign up.;)

There was a CycleChat team on last years PfS we had a great time. There is a wide range of people who do it, from 10 year olds on choppers to a guy with a rickshaw (I asked if he wanted a fare, but declined so I had to cycle the rest of the way B)). It really is great fun and anyone who can get on a bike can do it...

I did it last year for the first time, and it is an excellent run - very well organised, lots of food stops (free, or at least included in the entry fee). More sections on road than off, but safety in numbers plus the roads through West Lothian are pretty quiet. I would recommend to any beginner cyclist - It's good for the soul.
