Finished a gruelling 123 mile run yesterday ;) including the Manchester100 and apart from soggy shorts (the rubber insert seemed to soak everything in) the seam for the insert rubs. Now I know it rubs and causes a bit of discomfort on rides of around 70/80mile and applied anti chauffing creme before but yesterday was at different level. I have a backside that looks like its been whiped:blush: and could hardly sit on the bike the last 10 mile or so. Anyway the shorts aren't too big IMO, XL for a 32inch waist, perhaps a little tight round the nether region but maybe a little loose round the shoulders and at £55 a throw i'd rather cure the problem rather than get a new pair. Anyone else get reaction from the seams of these shorts or should i look for another brand? I would need a couple of plasters next time and that cant be right:laugh: Any creme i should apply to the insert, its manmade (are they all?), i know they used to have chamios leather ones.

Cheers

I have Pearl Izumi bib shorts with the 3D insert, I have a 38" waist, 5'-8" tall and 600mm circ thighs and mine are size Large, perfect fit!

I use Assos Chamois Creme and plaster it over the black part of the pad.

Ok thanks for the creme tip, wasn't sure whether or not to use it on the 3D bit. For the record im 6ft1 and 13 stone and since we all come in different shapes and sizes... oh I split the Large size on the seam from the top of the crotch to the belly button trying to put them on as they were tight. perhaps im a freak lol
