Quite thin fabric, very grippy palm material. Sizing chart suggested XL for me but bought 2XL so plenty of room around hand, however elasticated wrist (rather than more usual velcro strap) is still quite tight.
Not much gel padding. Will be keeping them for shorter rides, and keep looking for something more cushioned for longer rides.
