I've suffered with the above for years now, however, I still have retained my full compliment of cartlidge fortunately. I find that walking helps with my knee stability, however, cycling has been a major contributer to this and this weekend I think I finally realised why.
When cycling I maintain a good cadence, however, I only seem to use my outer quads when spinning and when I concentrated an used both my inner and outer quads I could and still can feel the burn in my inner quads today.
My question is has anyone any good techniques for building up and maintaining the strength in my inner quads or any cycling techniques that will ensure I use them. After many years this is going to be a difficult habbit to break but the pain/swelling feeling after a ride is a bit off-putting.
