I’ve seen people running and jumping over urban landscapes but never realised that some were as advanced or skilled as this or that there was a name for it - Parkour. It’s like something out of a Spider-Man movie, quite incredible. Now a film director wants to make a movie about this groups activities in Sussex called Storror.
Parkour group marks 10 years on YouTube with 6.5m subscribers https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-sussex-54561179

My 13 year old got into this a couple of years ago.He goes to an indoor training facility to learn the basics.
It's just the modern equivalent of hedge-hopping:laugh::laugh::laugh:......but a bit more extreme:becool:
Wish I was agile enough.........

When I was a nipper in the 70's, we were told not to try & immitate Steve Austin the Six Million Dollar Man as some kids seriously injured themselves recreating the stunts.

Now we have this 'sport' which actively encourages people to jump all over buildings etc. One time in London, I saw some twonk practicing this near Embankment one one of the bridges. One miscalculation & it was a 20ft drop onto hard concrete.

Hmm, yes. There are so many negative aspects to this stuff. (look at the erosiion of natural beauty spots in that vid :O )

But at the same time, they have produced a beautiful film. I think that if just the specialists do this stuff, it does more good than harm.

Some of the more extreme practitioners do it 100s of feet up.
It was going to be added to the 2024 Olympics but Parkour Earth disagree with the IOC trying to take over.It is a very skilled sport, much like Gymnastics.Even Hollywood has clocked on and used it in a few action films.
Extreme sports are more popular all the time.Base jumping,Wingsuits,Parkour,Free climbing,Coasteering,Cliff diving.
I think it's all good to watch:becool:

Very athletic, and really quite exhilarating to watch (have watched some similar ones before).
I wonder how much/if they 'case the joint' beforehand ... I wouldn't necessarily trust the integrity of some of those flat roofs, for example.
I'm way too old for that sort of mullarkey now, but if it had been a 'thing' I might have had a bash at it when I was younger (I have a decent head for height ... was good at diving when young (top board, somersaults etc) and have parachuted a number of times ... (though the last time was 30+ years ago ^_^)
