Parkes lightweight

Picked up a message from Madgetts cycles on my 'phone today - my Parkes lightweight frame has been painted and is ready for collection .

A bit early to post, but it's my birthday tomorrow and I had been wondering how to spend the day.
Will post photo's as I get on with the build.

Next step will be giving new paintwork a coat of carnauba wax and a bit of a polish. Best reproduction of colour is image 1 forks or 3 bottom bracket near oil hole (2BA oil nipple on order). Very pleased with colour - it is a dark green flamboyant.
Head badge was hand polished and touched up with Humbrol paints.

Made a start on assembly - Feel better about the green now the wheels are on:

I tried a modern stem and it just didn't look right, found a nice GB girder on eBay and much happier with the look of that (several small parcels have arrived today

Looks very nice, love the colour combination with the wheels.
