Panniers

Having never bought one, but now in desperate need to use my bike for getting to and from places more often, I need a decent but somewhat budget pannier bag or two (or a double set) to get on a rack.

I would need a bag that can fit at least one football in, if anyone can recommend something I'd appreciate it (currently coaching my local team & the guy who used to give me a lift has moved)
I've seen these but not sure if they'll fit a football in or not.

Altura's on my commuter.You can get loads in them.

I use the Altura Arran on my commuter, my back pack fits in it perfectly so when I get to my destination, I just lift my back pack out and off I go.

I bought a decent rack and a pair of panniers. I use these every day for commuting to and from work, can get loads into them.

Also to save the inside of the pannier getting wrecked by the muddy and wet ball i suggest that you get a dry sack to put it in. I bought a pack of three so i could use them to store different sized items.

Thanks, i'll check that out. Those panniers, are they joined or can I use just one if needed?

I've got a pair of the Arc 20 Roll top ones and overall they are very good,My only gripe is that they taper slightly towards the bottom.
Had I have been buying them in person that would have put me off,but they were bought online and I didn't notice at the time.

The Lidl panniers I have are good and very cheap, but only available about 2 weeks a year.

Yea, they do the job but can be very tight to take off and on the first few times, but they loosen up after that.
