Hi
I tried to install a new pannier rack (having broke my last one on my last tour) today on my sirrus comp. However, when trying to attach the rods to the top holes on the bike (sorry don't know the correct lingo yet!) I noticed that one scre just turns around without getting tighter. On looking at the hole it appears that part of it is loose and turns slightly when moved by hand.
Basically I just want to know:
a) is this easily fixable?
b) will my LBS be able to do?
c) any idea of cost?
I also noticed the bottom attachments of the rack don't sit flush against the bottom bikes forks. d) Is this likely to be problem? This wasn't the case on my previous rack. For information, the bike is a specialized sirrus comp and the new rack is a tortec ultralite.
Any help with these q's would be a big help - I'm still very much a novice scratching around in the dark!
Thanks
D.
