Pannier, mudguards, lock. Recommendations Please!

Hi Guys,

I've bought a new Giant Defy 2 2013, very nice bike! But as its winter now i need some mudguards, please could someone make some recommendations? I know Giant do some but it would be nice to have some feedback on some.

Plus pannier racks and locks recommendations would great aswell!

Racks thrn I can recommend the Topeak Super Tourist as you can fit normal and their own quick release MTX panniers and bags. I use a MTX pannier. Ortlieb are very good and prices start from £55 a pair for tge Front City Roller (fits on back as well) to around £100 for tge bigger ones.

Guards then I think the Giant needs their own guards. If you have enough tyre clearance then SKS chromoplastic are good.

Giant's own mudguards, Cruds fit but they rub (at least on 25mm tyres)

Ditto on the rack

Lock Abus Granit X / Krytonite NY Fahgettaboutit + a chain or folding lock (or another D Lock if you can leave them somewhere)
