Paint getting rubbed off

Hello
I was cleaning my cyclocross bike today after a muddy off road ride and noticed that the front brake wire has rubbed off paint just under the stem.
I only rode the bike about 10 times since purchase
Is this to be expected or should I contact the Dealer?

Thanks

First addition to any new bike should be frame protection tape on any areas where rubbing can occur.

It is annoying that we have to do this, but for now the that's how it is generally

That's life. Either get some clear helicopter tape (eBay) or just buy coloured electrical tape and cut a strip to fit.

Absolutely normal to get rub, hence why we all fit a bit of tape in rub areas, I even do it to my kids bikes.

Well yes I bought helicopter tape for under the down tube but did not know or realize that this could happen also.
I shall apply some, but before i do shall I get some white touch up paint from Halfords?

Also what other areas should i protect?

Thanks fellas.

Electrical tape is great and is available in many colours.

Paint the scratches, then apply tape if you are as obsessed as me. LOL
