Painful urethra after a cold ride.

Went out for a couple of hours yesterday in the cold, it was about 5 degrees. When I got back I noticed pain along the length of my urethra on urinating. (I'm a chap, by the way!)

I am about half way through a course of amoxycillin for a mild chest infection, which has cleared up. The pain is stil present this morning, not bad, just niggling. I wonder if it was caused by bruising, or by greater susceptibility to bruising thanks to the amoxy (one of the side effects) or by something completely coincidental. I'm probably not drinking enough liquid at the moment while stuck inside an overheated house - maybe somthing to do with that?

I've had that.

I didn't associate it with antibiotics, but having thought about it, it did occur during courses of Flucloxacillin and Amoxicillin.

Hmmmm....

as a laringectomee i can confirm that the pain when passing water is a side effect of antibiotics
