Pain Onn The Plain Sportive

Hi all,

Anyone doing the Pain On The Plain sportive on June 5th? I'm doing the 100 miler which will be my first at that distance. Im in Afghanistan supporting the troops out here at the mo, all my training is on a spinning bike so should be interesting when I get on the start line, lol.
I will have a week and a half at home before the ride so will have to get some serious road miles in me thinks.

If anyone is looking for a riding partner on the day feel free to tag along and enjoy.

I did it last year, a really good event and one that offers something different as well, and it's a charity fundraiser. I made it a hard day for myself by going off too fast in the first hour or so, trying to hang on to groups of the super fit military types ( I'm an overweight civvie) and paid the price later, schoolboy error, but so hard to resist when the adreneline is flowing!
If you're already "army fit" then I'm sure you'll be fine!
I don't think I'll be down that way to ride this year but if I was I would do it again.
