I only get pain after rides in the back of my right knee, i use spds, could it be a cleat problem ? Been riding a couple of years and this has only started happening

Have you changed your cleats and especially saddle height? Seat too high?

Do you stretch properly after riding any distance?

Sometimes bike setup can take a while to manifest itself. I would initially, lower the seat a touch, re-examine cleat position and float and double check my position on the bike. A few hamstring stretches might help too just in case your muscles have shortened a bit with all the riding you're doing.

Ive done the coast to coast and everything with no qualms, then all of a sudden about ten rides ago, i will try all the above and see how it goes, cheers for all the help

You could actually have injured something completely unrelated to the bike, but are relating to the bike fit and not damage to the knee...if it persists, see a doctor or a private physio

Thats not a bad shout actually, its the two tough tendenie things at the back of the knee(no idea what they are), but they only hurt after cycling, if im at work carrying things up and down stairs it doesnt affect me, but after ten mile of peddling they knack, which is why i blamed cycling

Mainly hamstrings. There's three big ones which insert either side of the knee. I've had problems in that area recently, stretching didn't really get to them but rolling did.

Particularly note the pointing of her toes and the way she tackles it in sections.
