I am selling some wheels on Ebay and it's just dawned on me that I don't really have a clue on how to go about packing them economically.

Any suggestions folks?

Wheel boxes is the best idea. And make sure you put extra on the axles. they always poke through the box if you don't.
Scrounge some from you lbs.

I have bought wheels from ebay in the past and they came wrapped in bubble wrap with heavy cardboard folded over the outside. They survived the journey without damage and packing them like this is very cheap.

Pack them well - that's all you need to do. I used a wheel box from a set of wheels I'd recently ordered.....just a large box, with some additional cardboard inserts to hold the wheels nicely in place.

I sold some wheels on ebay not that long ago and used part of a bike box (cut up and resized myself) with a shoot load of bubble wrap. I wasn't particulary confident of the robustness of the packaging but it made it fine.
