I will be doing the northern rock 100 mile cyclone in June, and I'm wanting to get a good time, so I need to pace myself correctly.

What heart rate % would be sustainable for that distance? Should I put in any 20 or 60 minute hard efforts (around 85 - 90%) anywhere? The course has over 7000ft of climbing, does that change the pacing strategy?

Cheers,
Sam

You're body/ fitness will determine whether or not you'll need a pacing strategy; personally I wouldn't I just like to keep my eye on my average speed, make sure I well fuelled and step it up in the last 10 miles or so but we're all different.
