Leave Oxford station at midnight, 33 miles to High Wycombe, tea and cake at 3am in a very accommodating fellow cyclist's house, then another 33 miles into central London for breakfast wherever you fancy (last time it was Paddington station, maybe we can do better this time).
The route starts flat apart from a modest lump after Horspath but then goes right across the Chilterns (Chinnor Hill, Smalldean Lane and Cryers Hill) so a granny gear is good. If you do it on fixed, chapeau - I did it on a close-ratio 3-speed in March and I thought my cranks were going to snap.
The run into London is rather nice - Beaconsfield, Jordans (very expensive stockbroker belt houses in the woods), Chalfont St Peter, Harefield, Ruislip, Ealing and Bayswater.
PM me if interested - I have to limit the numbers because we're relying on someone else's hospitality.
For London residents, the train fare to Oxford is a very reasonable four quid if you book now, and you'll be in bed before 9am.

The profile is a little "challenging".
