A stunning Oxford Bike Works Reynolds 525 Steel Cromoly touring/expedition bike with over £1100 of upgrades! 51cms (large) frame - recommended for a rider between 5’7” and 6’1” (the photos show it set up for a 5’7” rider) This is my son's bike, but a planned touring holiday didn't happen and he is off to university so has decided to sell it.

This bike was hand built with just over £400 of upgrades to the previous owner’s exacting specification in 2016 at a cost of almost £2500 and was then upgraded further with top of the range Paul Components V brakes, levers and thumb shifters costing over £700.

Built by Oxford Bike Works in Steventon, Oxfordshire to their Expedition specification. Every part of this bike has been built with longevity in mind; every component has been carefully thought through, using top-grade components where it makes sense and simple, easily replaceable parts where it doesn't, eliminating as far as possible the chance of mechanical failure in the most critical long-term parts of the bike.

The bike has had very minimal use has always been dry stored, there are some minor scratches and marks on the frame, which is to expected, the bike is now almost 9 years old, but I am being picky it is immaculate! Also included is a front Tubus pannier rack (not fitted) with four quick release Arkel panniers, all the original paperwork including the original invoice, some spare fastenings and spare spokes. It is ready to ride away and wants for nothing!

Please note that pedals are not included.

It does look good, however the title of the advert may suggest to many that it's a 26 inch frame bike. I looked further (just out of curiosity, but could easily have dismissed it) and of course, found it has 26 inch wheels!
